Lantau Island Monastery - With its
pristine ambience, striking landscape, unique quaint fishing village and long
white sand beach blended with some modern developments nestled in the foot of
the hills, Lantau Island offers a pleasant respite from the city's noises. Climb
up to the Po Lin monastery, Animistic gilded statues of different Buddha's
are revered inside. The great bronze Buddha, which is the world's highest
outdoor seated Buddha is just adjacent to it and perched on the Ngong Ping
plateau.

un-interrupted travel on Metro's, local buses and ferries available at tourist centers
and Metro stations. The ferries connect the islands of Hong Kong and are very
