Don't be fooled by the
conservative image of Chennai, This is a metro with a very serious night life. Visit some of the hippest joints in the country and rub shoulders
with city's socialites. (
- clubs we recommend)
Havana (Raintree Hotel)
- Hangover Nights featuring DJ Kana & DJ Kave, enjoy the best of hip hop.

EC 41 The
popular beach side, open air discotheque is back, so take a drive on east coast
road and chill out at EC41, VGP resorts.
'Pasha'
at
The Park , The place is small, but gets a real good crowd . The music is good with good dose of hip-hop, house and desi numbers. special
are the steep prices for alcoholic beverage, but not really a place to chill
out. Entry they say is restricted to members & their guests
only. (Nungambakkam High Rd).
Dublin,
The
Irish pub cum discotheque at the Park Sheraton Hotel. The club has split level
dance floors. The bar is supposedly Irish but who cares as long as it is
well stocked. The club is frequented by celebrities & is still the most popular in
the city. Though the club is spacious it can be real packed on theme
nights. There is more room for improvement in service by the hotel staff. Dublin is open 7 days a week. Pub Hours: 5pm to 10pm. Dancing
Hours: upto 12 Am.
The MiXX dance
pub at FRONTEL, Egmore (close to the railway station).
Sparks dance
pub at
Hotel 'SAVERA', The place is well laid out with trendy interiors. The dance floor is spacious
and the sound system is really good. The place functions as a pub through the
day. Dancing starts later in the evening. (Radhakrishnan
Salai)
Flame Le
Club
disco at the Le Royal Meridien, The place is not very hip with 'in' crowd. The
service leaves more to be desired. The place lacks energy. (Near
Kathipara flyover)
Most pubs &
discotheques shutdown by mid-night but some night clubs manage to stay open well
past mid-night. Though nightlife in Chennai is safe and night clubs
trouble free, its advisable to be cautious and have your own transport to get
back.
