They are one among the pioneers in Chennai to introduce Hang Gliding & Microlight flying as early  as 1983-84. They have done a lot of spadework to Promote Sport aviation in Chennai including holding discussion with the Airport Authorities of India - Chennai to obtain permission to use Vellore aerodome.
